At Alton Towers the countdown is on for the 2025 season, with the Merlin-owned theme park resort offering a “thrilliant” short-break promotion for early-bird guest bookings.
Guests can save £118 on short-break packages if they book before 26 January - including trips during the Alton After Dark extended park days in March, as well as the Easter and May half-term school break.
The ‘thrilliant’ offer includes an overnight stay, breakfast at the hotel, nine holes of Extraordinary Golf, and two free days them park entry for kids.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, Alton Towers last week unveiled the naming of its new ride for 2025, The Toxicator - which is ‘topspin’ flat-ride that stands 78 feet tall and delivers “extreme spin patterns” and “heart-pounding centrifugal forces”.
2025 starts with Pirate Takeover
During the annual Pirate Takeover, from 15th to 23rd February, Alton Towers will transform into a pirate's paradise and lay on a treasure chest of live entertainment and shows.
Pirate Takeover is a special event that kicks off the 2025 season early, in the February half-term. It sees select areas of the park open for two weeks, before the full reopening and launch of the 2025 season in mid-March.
As well as the exclusive Piratey entertainment and live shows, certain areas of the park, Towers Street and Mutiny Bay, and certain rides, including Battle Galleons, will be transformed with extra pirate theming.
Alton After Dark in March
The 2025 season begins in mid-March with the Alton After Dark events.
Alton After Dark sees the park open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, with extended hours (10am to 8pm) between Saturday 15th March to 29th March.
These weekend Alton After Dark openings kick off the 2025 season, which begins in full swing with regular park hours from Sunday 30th March.
Guests booked on Alton Towers’ ‘Kids Ride Free’ offer, for trips between Saturday 15th March and 29th March also get to access the extended Alton After Dark park hours.
