Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort provides its guests with easy access to all of the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort.
Whether you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom the resort offers convenient transportation options to make your journey to the parks stress-free.
Here, we take a closer look at the ways to get from the resort to your favourite attractions.
Complimentary bus service
The most popular way to get to the theme parks from Coronado Springs is by the resort’s complimentary bus service.
The buses pick up and drop off at Coronado Springs every 20 minutes.
Separate buses depart to all the parks - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom - as well as Disney Springs. At the Coronado Springs resort itself, buses collect guests from four bus stops in a loop before heading off to their destinations.
Animal Kingdom is the closest park to Coronada Springs, about 10–15 minutes.
Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios are between 15–20 minutes away depending on traffic.
Can You Walk to the Theme Parks?
Coronado Springs is not within walking distance of any of the Walt Disney World theme parks. Walking is not a safe or feasible option due to the distance and road layout.
Disney Skyliner
Although Coronado Springs Resort doesn’t have direct access to the Disney Skyliner, you can easily take a bus or other transportation to Epcot or Hollywood Studios, where the Skyliner operates.
This gondola system provides scenic rides between parks and other Disneyworld resorts.Since it opened in 2019, it has adding some extra adventure and magic to your journey.
No monorail, no boats
Unlike the Disneyworld resort hotels in the deluxe category, Coronado Springs is not on the monorail loop.
Other resorts have an added bonus of boat transport - either a river boat or crossing a lake - but Coronado Springs is not connected by waterways.
Free of charge
All transportation provided by Walt Disney World Resort including the buses, monorails, boats, and skyliner is completely free for guests travelling from any of the Disney resorts.
It makes it super easy to move between parks without worrying about extra costs.
Or you can take a car
Guests can, of course, choose to hail a ride from Uber or Lyft if waiting for a scheduled bus doesn’t suit their itinerary.
Disney allows Uber and regular Lyft drivers to pick up and drop off guests at designated spots at the resorts and at the parks.
‘Minnievans’, a partnership between Lyft and Disney, are granted wider access (for example, a Minnievan will take you right up to the Magic Kindom drop-off area near the park entrance, rather than only taking you as far as the Ticket and Transportation Centre).
Ride-hailing apps use dynamic pricing, so the price of your journey changes depending on the time of day and how busy it is.
