Walt Disney World has brought back one of its most popular promotions, free dining, for guests staying at Disney hotels this summer - but, it is a limited-time New Year’s offer.
The offer is for North American customers. Guests have to book between 2 January and 10 February, for eligible stays between 27 May to 26 June 26, and 7 July to 6 August.
To qualify for ‘free’ dining, guests will need to book for more than three nights, plus park-hopper tickets.
Bookings at deluxe resorts, or at the Disney Vacation Club Villas, will receive a ‘standard dining plan’ per person, which has a cash value of close to $100 per adult (over 10 years of age) per day.
Guests booking at moderate and value resorts will receive a ‘quick service dining plan’ per person, which would be worth around $60 per adult (over 10s) per day. As part of the offer, it is possible to upgrade the quick-service dining plan can be upgraded to a standard plan, for a fee.
Standard dining plan
The Standard Dining plan at Disney World gives guests one table service meal, one quick service meal, and one snack or non-alcoholic drink per person, for every night of their stay.
A drink is included with every meal, including alcoholic drinks (select beers, wines and cocktails) for guests over the age of 21.
Guests also receive one resort mug, refillable over the duration of their stay.
Quick service dining plan
On the quick-service plan, there is no table-service meal credit. Instead, guests receive two quick service credits per day of their stay. The credits are redeemable against any entree at the Disney World quick service restaurants including those at Disney Springs.
A drink is included with each meal - including alcoholic drinks, if they’re served in the quick service outlet and only for those over the age of 21.
Guests also receive one snack credit per person, per day.
The return of the free dinning offer comes as Disney has in the past year seen lower park attendance levels, and follows a similar promotion last summer for guests in the UK and Ireland for trips this year.
