Disneyland Paris theme park guests can bag some new perks, if they’re a VISA cardholder, thanks to a new partnership between the theme park resort and the global payments giant.
A new multi-year partnership sees VISA become the ‘official payment partner’ of Disneyland Paris as well as the Disney Store and the Disney Theatrical Group (which runs the touring Disney theatre and ‘on-ice’ shows) in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region.
To kick off the new tie-up VISA cardholders can avail of in-park perks such as “privaledged access” to a pair of Disneyland Paris live shows - at the Animagique Theater and Stitch LIVE!
Disney and VISA, in a statement, said that they will explore other opportunities to create future perks that will “help to elevate the way fans create memorable moments”, and, additional cardholder perks for the Disney Theatrical Group and Disney Store will be announced in the future.
“This strategic alliance builds upon our successful relationship with Visa in the US, providing great opportunities for the EMEA business,” said Cathy Cline, Walt Disney Company senior vice president of corporate alliances and card services.
“Like Disney, Visa is focused on innovation, creativity and customer service … our fans will enjoy convenient and seamless payment experiences as well as special cardholder opportunities.”
Previously, via a partnership with Mastercard, theme park guests with a Mastercard could get priority seating in the Lion King stage show at Disneyland Paris.
