Guests travelling to Disneyland Paris will soon be able to do so more easily and ‘more sustainably’, as Disney’s European theme parks resort has launched a new partnership with French e-commerce company SNCF.

SNCF, which describes itself as an “all-in-one service for sustainable mobility”, is an online platform that helps French and European travellers plan journeys and book tickets, whilst allowing them to see and understand the environmental footprint of those journeys.

Disneyland Paris and SNCF in their new partnership, plan to “enrich guest experience” by “enabling sustainable travel”.

What that is expected to mean, is that they will help guests book short-distance transport such as the RER rail, metro, and buses as well as longer-distance travel through Europe such as train services, coach transport, and ridesharing.

Meanwhile, it’s planned that SNCF services will also be embedded in the Disneyland Paris app, and, the pair of companies will collaborate on new joint marketing campaigns.

The idea is that this will help Disneyland Paris guests to buy and to book transportation tickets in France and Europe.

“Our ambition is to extend the magic to our guests’ travel experience while encouraging them to adopt sustainable transportation solutions,” Disneyland Paris director of strategic alliances & partnerships, Karine Rougale said in a press release. Julia Etaix, SNCF's commercial director, meanwhile added: “Helping to facilitate access to a tourist destination like Disneyland Paris through sustainable mobility is one of the major considerations of this partnership.

“I’m delighted about this upcoming collaboration, which is built on shared values and will reinforce the mission we’ve set ourselves with SNCF Connect: facilitating access to sustainable, shared modes of transportation while making them more desirable.”
