One of the perks of staying at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts is its easy access to all the Disney theme parks.
These deluxe Disney World resorts are operated by Marriott, but like all the other ‘on-site’ Disney World hotels they benefit from multiple complimentary modes of transport to the parks.
Whether you're visiting EPCOT, Magic Kingdom, or Disney's Hollywood Studios it will be quite straightforward.
Disney bus
Like all Disney World Resort hotels, the Swan & Dolphin Resorts provide complimentary shuttle buses to all the parks, plus Disney Springs.
Buses typically depart every 20-30 minutes and run throughout the day, making it easy to hop between the parks and the hotel.
Walk
The Swan & Dolphin Resorts are located in the BoardWalk area of DisneyWorld, which means EPCOT is a pleasant 10 to 15 minute walk away. The resort area is connected to EPCOT via a pleasant lakeside walkway.
Guests can walk to Hollywood Studios too, it is a little bit further but no less pleasant. It takes around 15 to 20 minutes depending on your pace.
Both routes are well-lit and entirely pedestrianised, making it a safe and popular option for those who prefer a bit of fresh air and exercise when hitting the parks (or indeed, those who simply don’t want to wait for a bus).
It is not possible to walk to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom from the Swan & Dolphin Resorts.
Boat ride
The waterways around the BoardWalk and EPCOT resort area provide another excellent option for travelling to and from the theme parks.
At the Swan & Dolphin offer a complimentary boat service to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The boat ride takes about 15-20 minutes and departs every 15-20 minutes from the resort’s dock. It's an especially relaxing way to reach the parks whilst enjoying views around BoardWalk and Crescent Lake.
Monorail
Whilst Swan & Dolphin does not have a monorail station, the EPCOT monorail connection is a fairly short walk away, from there guests can connect to Magic Kingdom - with a quick change at the Ticketing and Transport Center.
Skyline
Similarly, Swan & Dolphin is not directly on the Skyline cable-car ‘gondola’ network, but, the station outside EPCOT is within walking distance. From there, guests can be transported to Hollywood Studios through the skies.
Thoughts …
The Swan & Dolphin resorts make it incredibly easy to reach all the Disney parks, with multiple free transportation options.
Whether you prefer to walk to EPCOT, take a scenic boat ride, hop on a shuttle, take a monorail to Magic Kingdom, or a gondola cable car to Hollywood Studios, getting to the parks is a breeze.
With quick access and frequent departures, you can spend less time worrying about transportation and more time enjoying the magic of Disney.
