Getting to the parks from Grand Floridian is fast and easy.
Whether you’re heading to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom, here we take a quick look at some of the main park transport options for guests.
Monorail
The Disney World monorail is the most direct means of transport from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom, which is the closest park to the hotel.
The journey takes just about 5 minutes, and monorails typically depart every 10-15 minutes, so you’re never waiting long for a ride.
In the other direction, and with a change at the Ticket and Transportation hub, guests can also take the monorail from Grand Floridian to Epcot, with the journey time likely to be between 30 and 35 minutes.
Buses
Like all the other Disney World resorts, guests can take a complimentary Disney bus from the hotel to all the theme parks, plus Disney Springs.
Buses leave for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios every 20 minutes or so.
Depending on traffic, buses can take 15 to 30 minutes to get to the parks.
Boats
Besides the monorail, guests can also take a water taxi to Magic Kingdom.
This scenic boat ride is a relaxing way to travel, and takes around 10 minutes.
The water taxis leave every 15 to 20 minutes from the resort’s dock, and, like the monorail and buses, the service is complimentary.
Walk
Grand Floridian is close enough to walk to Magic Kingdom, with a devoted walkway from the hotel to the park. Depending upon pacing, it may take guests around 15 mins to take the walk.
