The lagoon pool's zero entry at Loews Royal Pacific

Things to do at Loews Royal Pacific Resort

2 min read

Once you step foot inside Loews Royal Pacific Resort, at Universal Orlando, you will be forgiven for forgetting that you’re at a theme park hotel.

Royal Pacific is a deluxe-level resort that’s just a five to ten-minute stroll from two of the world’s top theme parks, nevertheless, it has all the facilities that you could expect to find in a four or five-star hotel anywhere.

Here, we take a look at some of the popular amenities and activities on offer at the resort.

Pools, spa, and gym

Royal Pacific has a large lagoon-style pool with zero entry and its own sandy beach.

It has the ‘Royal Bali’ water play and splash area, themed around an old-fashioned steamboat, as well as a separate smaller pool for infants.

For grown-ups, meanwhile, the pool area has a pair of hot tubs - and for refreshments, there’s Bula Bar & Grille, the resort’s Fijian-themed poolside dining spot serving burgers, pizza, ice cream, and, of course, refreshing drinks.

Guests can book and pay for a private cabana. It is an upgraded poolside experience with a TV, a refrigerator stocked with soft drinks and water, a fruit bowl, and a server for the cabanas area.

Hotel staff also run games, hula hoops and ping pong by the poolside during the day.

The lagoon pool is excellent for hanging out, playing, and relaxing but it's not really a lap pool. Guests looking to get a hit of exercise can get that at Royal Pacific’s large, 5,000-square-foot gym.

The gym features treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, and stairmasters, along with strength training machines and free weights equipment.

Guests who like to heat up as they warm down will no doubt take the opportunity to use the sauna and steam room facilities, accessible via the gym’s locker rooms.

Exercising outdoors is also a popular choice, with the resort’s jogging and walking paths can offer guests up to 3 miles of well-maintained and beautiful tropical gardens.

Kids activities

The resort has an arcade games room, whilst the resort also operates a ‘lending library’ of games and activities to keep everyone entertained.

Loews Royal Pacific also participates in the Loews Loves Famlies program, so you can expect perks and supervised play.

To not forget about any members of the family, Royal Pacific is a ‘pet-friendly’ resort - which means it has a dedicated exercise area for cats and dogs (no more than two animals per room), plus there’s a pet’s room service menu that makes feeding your pets at the hotel easy.

The Wantilan Luau

The Wantilan Luau takes place once a week at Royal Pacific Resort. Its a separately ticketed activity, priced at $119 for adults and $65 for children.

It gives guests a taste and a glimpse of Pacific Island culture.

The Luau features a lively Hawaiian dinner show with hula and fire dancers, plus a buffet of delicious Polynesian dishes.

Shop on site

Loews Royal Pacific Resort has an onsite Universal Orlando gift shop stocked with a mix of teeshirts, toys, and other souvenirs themed around the Universal Parks’ top intellectual properties - so that means lots of merch from Harry Potter, Jurassic World, Dr Zeus, and Minions (and along with several other popular entertainment brands).

Guests should also look out for exclusive Royal Pacific souvenir items that won’t be available anywhere else.
