Top things to do at Davy Crockett Ranch at Disneyland Paris

Davy Crockett Ranch is a unique resort at Disneyland Paris - it is much more than somewhere for guests to rest their heads after a long day at the theme parks.

The resort, a woodland glade full of glamping-style cabins, located about a ten minute drive from the main Disneyland Paris, has a good range of amenities and activities of its own that make it a different kind of Disney retreat for families.

Here, we take a look at what’s on offer for guests planning a trip to Davy Crockett Ranch.

Heated indoor pool

Blue Springs, Davy Crockett’s indoor heated pool, is a highlight of Davy Crockett Ranch, offering a refreshing escape from the bustle of the theme parks.

It brings family fun in a well-themed and playful indoor setting. Guests enjoy the large swimming area, lazy river, exciting slide, and splash play zone, especially for younger kids.

For adults, there’s the relaxation of the jacuzzi.

Described as an indoor oasis, it's an all-year-round, all-weather activity for Davy Crockett’s guests.

Get active

Whether guests are looking for a bit of sport, a chance to stretch your legs, or simply playing out, there’s much to do indoors and outdoors at the woodland resort.

Davy Crockett Ranch has indoor tennis courts, near the pool area.

The resort has its own mini-golf course, with equipment rentals available at the Alamo Trading Post for a small fee.

Whilst smaller guests can climb, swing and slide their way through the resort’s outdoor play area. The Junior Ranchers Playground, is a spacious outdoor area featuring swings and climbing structures. It’s an ideal spot for little adventurers to play and make friends.

At a different pace, for guests who love the great outdoors, the nature trail provides a scenic woodland walk that immerses you in the tranquility of the ranch. It’s a perfect opportunity to explore the area, spot local wildlife, or simply enjoy a peaceful stroll.

The Lucky Raccoon

Gamers can head to the Lucky Raccoon Arcade, where you’ll find air hockey, Mario Kart, and a range of classic games.

It’s a fun, but regular hotel arcade games room - which are always a great way for families to spend an hour, and get their thumbs and competitive spirit going.

Crockett’s Saloon

Crockett’s Saloon, a fun Western-style bar, and lounge, is an ideal spot for families and groups to gather to socialise and, in peak season, enjoy entertainment and live music.

Many adults visiting Crockett’s Saloon will meanwhile enjoy sampling the menu of cocktails, whilst taking in the heavily themed atmosphere.

Alamo Trading Post

The Alamo Trading Post, the Davy Crockett Ranch resort’s on-site shop, stocks everything from essentials, snacks and some exclusive Disney merchandise.

It is handy for grabbing last-minute items, as well as gifts to take home.

Thoughts …

Those familiar with Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Resort, in Orlando, will understand the inspiration for the Davy Crockett resort, though western Europe poses a quite different climate to Florida. Nevertheless, the resort does a good job of providing guests with a range of facilities throughout the year.

Clearly there’s lots for guests to explore, besides all that the rest of the Disneyland Paris theme parks and Disney Village has to offer.
