2 min read

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, one of the popular hotels on the doorstep of Universal Orlando, has plenty for guests to do between trips to the theme parks.

It’s seen as a tropical escape at the Universal Orlando Resort and its pool and sandy beach are real highlights.

Here, we take a closer look at the popular things to do at Loews Sapphire Falls.

Pool

Sapphire Falls boasts a good-sized and impressive lagoon pool, which covers 16,000-square-feet, and, a water slide.

Besides the poolside loungers, the pool area has its own sandy beach area, perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

Guests looking to upgrade their pool day can book a private cabana, at an extra charge (from $150 per day, but typically depending on the season).

These cabanas offer more privacy for your group, with its shaded seating area, cushioned loungers, wifi and fans. They also come with refreshments, including a stocked mini-fridge, and a personal servers to take poolside food and drinks orders.

Workout

Guests looking to stretch their legs or pump some iron may do so at the Kalina Health and Fitness Center.

Here, guests will find modern cardo machines including treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals, as well as strength training equipment including resistance weight machines and free weights.

Out in the open air, guests can enjoy the resort’s jogging (walking) track.

There isn’t an on-site spa, but the Mandara Spa can be found at the nearby Portofino Bay Hotel - offering massages, facials, and body treatments.

If you're looking to keep up your fitness routine, the complimentary fitness center includes modern equipment, from cardio machines to free weights.

Games and arcades

Keeping the kids entertained at Sapphire Falls is pretty easy, there’s fun and games to be had.

Poolside, the hotel entertainment staff put on ping pong and hula hoop contests, whilst indoors guests can enjoy the arcade games.

Or take a water taxi

If all that is not enough, guests can take a complimentary water taxi from Sapphire Falls to City Walk where, besides the theme parks, there’s mini-golf, escape rooms, cinema, a karaoke bar, and live music venues.

The water taxi itself is well worth taking, and it's a ‘must do’, at least once, for all guests during their stay at Sapphire Falls.

Thoughts …

Sapphire Falls, like pretty much all of the Universal Orlando resort hotels, provides guests with much more than a place to stay close to the theme parks.
