Planning your travel day ahead of your stay at Loews Royal Pacific Resort?
Here’s everything you need to know about getting there - whether you’re flying in, taking the train, or arriving by car.
Fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO)
If you’re flying in, the nearest airport is Orlando International Airport (MCO), located about 18 miles from Loes Royal Pacific at Universal.
The transfer time is typically 20 to 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
MCO is a major international airport, so there are lots of car hire providers if you want to drive yourself.
If you prefer to start your trip in the passenger seat, MCO allows pick-ups from ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft from Terminal A, Level 2.
For Uber/Lyft transfers you can expect to pay around $30 to $40 for a one-way trip from the airport to Royal Pacific.
There are several private transfer operators running from MCO to all the Universal resorts. So whatever you need - from a bus, mini-bus, or a sedan - there are helpful websites to book your pick-up before you leave home.
By train to Orlando station
If you’re traveling by train, the nearest Amtrak station is Orlando Station, located about 10 miles from the resort. The transfer time is approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car.
A recent addition to guests’ travel options is Florida's Brightline rail service is a high-speed rail line connecting the Orlando International Airport (MCO) with other major cities in Florida, particularly Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.
So this may allow more flexibility if your plans see you flying into another Florida airport, or, if you’re planning a split-stay trip.
There are no complimentary shuttle services from the train station to the Universal resorts, but all the airports usual transfer options are available.
Driving to Royal Pacific resort
For guests that prefer to drive, Loew’s Royal Pacific resort is well-connected by road.
It is easily accessible by major roadways, including Interstate 4, making it a straightforward journey if you’re arriving from nearby cities or other parts of Florida.
The resort offers on-site parking for guests, but please note that it comes at an extra charge. Self-parking costs around $33 per night, while valet parking is available for $42 per night.
It’s a secure and convenient option, especially if you plan on exploring other areas by car during your stay.
