Uber teams up with Aer Lingus College Football Classic, Dublin tickets go on sale next week

Uber doesn’t want fans getting gridlocked on their way to the gridiron in Dublin this summer, as the ride-hailing app has been named an official partner of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic.

Dublin is expecting over 20,000 visitors - mostly from America - on the August bank holiday weekend as Kansas State University play Iowa State University at Aviva Stadium on 23 August.

As well as the game, American Football will be taking over parts of Dublin with a number of events and activities planned including pep rallies and tailgates.

It’s the fourth year in a row that Dublin hosts the ‘College Football Classic’, and, as a “week zero” game, it will kick off the college football season. And, tickets go on-sale next Thursday - 6 March, at 10:00am - and can be purchased via Ticketmaster here.

“This collaboration ensures that fans can move around Dublin effortlessly, making the most of the incredible atmosphere and events throughout the week,” Uber Ireland general manager Kieran Harte said in a statement.

Brendan Meehan, Aer Lingus College Football Classic commercial director, added: “This partnership is all about enhancing the fan experience—making it easier and more convenient for visitors to enjoy the excitement of game week while exploring everything Ireland has to offer.

“We look forward to seeing fans take full advantage of what this collaboration brings.”
