Newport Bay Club is one of the more expensive hotels at Disneyland Paris, and, it is generally popular and receives positive guest reviews.

It is one of the closest Disneyland Paris hotels to the Disney Village and the two theme parks (albeit Hotel New York - Art of Marvel and the Disneyland Hotel are closer).

Here, we take a look at the positives and the negatives highlighted in guest reviews and consider who this resort most appeals to.

Is it the right destination for your trip to Disneyland Paris?

What guests love about Newport Bay Club

Location, Location, Location. Most positive guest reviews point out that Newport Bay Club is just a stone’s throw from Disneyland Paris.

Compared to some of the lower-priced Disneyland Paris resorts, Newport Bay Club is a fairly short stroll from the hotel. It should take most guests around 15 minutes on foot, plus on the way through the village there’s opportunity to grab a tasty breakfast on the go.

By resort shuttle, the theme parks are just a 5-minute ride away.

The on-site amenities at Newport Bay Club hotel are among the best at Disneyland Paris, its packed with things to do during the downtime between trips into the parks.

The indoor and outdoor pools, character meet-and-greets and the hotel’s restaurants are all commonly identified as guest favourites.

Newport Bay Club’s theming, inspired by America’s New England seaside (like Disney World’s Yacht Club), is another plus point often commented upon in guest reviews. It evokes a sense of a seaside mansion and is described by guests as both classy and fun. In particular, guests appreciate the upgrade to Compass Club rooms which add extra perks - making it a great pick for guests who want a little extra luxury without a steep price tag.

In terms of dining options, the hotel has two main restaurants, Cape Cod and the Yacht Club, plus the Captain’s Quarters bar, there is something to suit most tastes, and generally the reviews are positive.

Drawbacks

Probably the most common piece of criticism about Newport Bay Club is that, despite fairly recent refurbishment, guests say that the rooms and room features are dated.

Besides the aesthetic, guests note that the rooms are short of power outlets, USB sockets, and that the old-fashioned hairdryers in the bathrooms are ‘weak’.

Guests looking for more modern rooms may prefer the resort across the lake, Hotel New York - Art of Marvel, or indeed, the more expensive Disneyland Paris Hotel.

Why some guests may book elsewhere

Guests who want an ultra-luxury experience or be even closer to the parks may prefer Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel or the Disneyland Hotel.

Another alternative option, maybe to book an upgraded ‘club level’ room at the Sequoia Lodge resort, which is slightly further down Lac Disney, and offers extra perks and good-sized rooms, but at a lower price point.

Who is Disney’s Newport Bay Club for?

Disney’s Newport Bay Club is ideal for families and couples who want a Disney experience with a bit of elegance.

The classy boaty theming and New England vibe offer a classy vibe, whilst also benefitting from being only a short distance from the theme parks.

Whilst some guests find them to be dated, the rooms at Newport Bay Club are generally more spacious than many of the other Disneyland Paris hotels.

The resort’s unique nautical character meet-and-greets are a very popular touch, that you can’t find anywhere else.
