All-Star Sports Resort may not have quite as many on-site amenities and activities as some of Disney World’s more expensive hotels - but, that doesn’t mean it is lacking fun!
With its pools, arcade and play area there’s something here to entertain kids big and small.
Here, we take a closer look at some of the popular things to do at Disney’s All-Star Sports.
Pools
All-Star Sports has two themed swimming pools, the Surfboard Bay pool and the Grand Slam pool.
Surfboard Bay is the larger of the two, designed with a relaxed beach vibe, whilst next door is the kids play pool.
The Grand Slam pool, which is shaped like a baseball field and features a larger-than-life Goofy, in full baseball attire, on the pitcher’s mound island, is a fun themed pool especially for the kids.
As you’ll find at all the Disney World resorts, the pools are family-friendly and provide complimentary towels.
As it’s a ‘value’ resort, All-Star Sports does not have a spa or gym on-site.
Fitness-focussed guests can however take a stroll or jog along the Jogging Trail, which winds through the resort
Games, arcades, and activities
All-Star Sports is popular with families with children, in part because of the kid-focused amenities (which generally aren’t included at other similarly priced hotel’s off Disney property).
Inside Stadium Hall, All-Star Sport’s main area (where the food court is found) the Game Point Arcade is guest favourite spot for video games.
Away from the screens, there’s a playground near the resort’s Touchdown! section, and its a great option for little ones who need to burn off some energy!
In the evening, gather the family for Movies Under the Stars by the Surfboard Bay Pool, or enjoy a classic campfire experience with marshmallow roasting at the All-Star Sports Campfire Activities.
Shop
If (somehow) you’ve not managed to satisfy your shopping needs at all the parks’ merchandise and gift shops, or across Disney Springs and World of Disney, then you may still fancy a trip to Sport Goofy Gifts & Sundries.
The store is found in Stadium Hall, along with the arcade and food hall, and it stocks everything from snacks to Disney-themed gifts.
Affordable fun
All-Star Sports is one of Disney World’s value resorts, but there’s more to it than just a place for guests to rest their heads.
With its themed pools, arcade, family-friendly activities, and nighttime entertainment, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort has something for every member of the family to be entertained.
Of course, this is at its core a practical theme park hotel - and the main reason most guests book to stay here is the fact that its a ‘value’ option that gives the convenience and perks of staying ‘on site’ at Disney World. Beyond that, the fun pools and arcades are very much a bonus.
