Alton Towers Resort has a lot of room options for one hotel! 

The on-site hotel for the UK’s top-rated theme park offers a good range of choices, there’s something for everyone.

Here, we take a closer look at the rooms at Alton Towers Resort.

Chocolate Room

Alton Towers’ Cadbury-themed ‘Chocolate Rooms’ are perfect for sweet-toothed guests.

These rooms sleep up to six chocolate-loving guests who’ll find a hidden stash of Cadbury treats in the room, and a mini-fridge.

Rooms come with a double bed and bunk beds, and en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries.

Coca-Cola rooms

Another brand-themed room, this time adorned in Coca-Cola’s signature red and with a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary drinks as well as Pringles and chocolates.

These rooms also sleep up to six, with doubles and bunks, and have similar bathroom facilities.

Sleepover rooms

Designed for “the ultimate sleepover party”, the Alton Towers Hotel’s Sleepover Room sleep up to six guests.

Like the other themed rooms types, these fun room options come with a make-up area, complimentary Pringles and Coca-cola, and a games console.

Explorer rooms

The Alton Towers Hotel has three explorer-themed room types, each embedded with storytelling around the park’s Sir Algenon character - including Arctic expeditions and voyages to the moon. Each suited to sleeping groups of three to five.

Gangsta Granny rooms

Fully immersed in the world of David Walliams popular novel, the Gansta Granny room choice is particularly popular with the kids. Guests will find a copy of the book, one per child, and the in-room TV is loaded with the movie.

The room features a double bed, a bunk bed and a pull-out bed.

Splish Splash rooms

With a unique water-themed design, the Splish Splash room sleeps six guests with a king-size bed, submarine-style bunk beds, and even a whirlpool bath.

This room comes with a mini-fridge, complimentary water and chocolates, and a lake view.

Dreamy Den room

The Dreamy Den Room, designed for couples, offers beautiful furnishings in pastel tones and a lake view. 

This room includes a double bed, complimentary prosecco on arrival, and an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious whirlpool bath and separate shower.

The Smiler room

With theming showcasing Alton Towers iconic thrill rollercoaster, the Smiler Room is a fun, interactive space for up to four guests. It includes a double bed, bunk beds, and air conditioning. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, and complimentary toiletries.

Facilities and services

All rooms offer free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, and complimentary toiletries. Cots are available upon request, but there are no specific cooking facilities in any rooms. 

Room cleaning follows a daily schedule, and check-in is from 3 pm, with check-out at 10 am. 

Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged, but it’s recommended that guests contact the front desk ahead of their trip to check cost and availability.
