Where to stay at Disney World’s Riviera Resort

3 min read

The Riviera Resort is not a typical Disney World hotel - opened in 2019, it’s a high-end Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort that has some of the larger accommodations found anywhere on the Disney World property.

As a DVC resort, availability is limited to the general public and as a result the prices for regular bookings are higher too. **DVC is Disney’s timeshare ownership program, running exclusive resorts across the globe (although most are at the Orlando property).

Rooms in DVC resorts have some notable extra features that guests would not ordinarily expect.

Here, we take a closer look at the options for a stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Studios

Riviera’s deluxe studios are ideal for a couple or a small group. They sleep up to five with a queen bed, a pull-down queen bed, and a pull-down single bed. For little ones, pack ‘n play cribs are available upon request.

Each studio also has a small kitchenette, including a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

En-suite bathrooms are modern and stylish with a walk-in shower and complimentary Disney toiletries.

There’s also plenty of USB outlets throughout the room, making it easy for guests to charge multiple devices.

One bedroom villas

Guests looking for more space may find Riviera’s 1 Bedroom Villas to be a good choice.

They also sleep up to five, but with more square-footage. Like the studios, they come with one king bed, a pull-down queen bed, and a pull-down single bed, sleeping up to five adults.

Guests staying in the villas get the added benefit of a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove, dishwasher, and full-sized fridge. Also the villas are fitted with a washer and a dryer to make longer stays more convenient, especially for families.

Bathrooms in the 1-Bedroom Villas are more luxurious, featuring a bubble-jetted tub and a walk-in shower.

Two and three bedroom villas

The Riviera’s two and Bedroom Villas  are some of the largest accommodations on the Disney World property, and are suited to larger groups.

The two bedroom villa sleeps up to nine (without counting cots for little ones) these villas have a king bed in one bedroom and a pair of queen beds in the other, plus a pull down queen bed and a single bed in the living areas.

Whereas the three bedroom villas sleep up to twelve people - thats with one king bed, 4 queen beds and a queen-size pull-out sofa bed.

They feature the same kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities as the one bedroom villas.

Cleaning, check-in and check-out

Cleaning is provided daily to non-DVC guests staying at The Riviera, whilst DVC members have a different cleaning schedule.

Check-in at Disney’s Riviera Resort is at 4 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM.

Early check-in and late check-out may be available, though it is recommended that guests contact the front-desk before their stay.
