Where to stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

3 min read

The Art of Animation Resort has some of the most flexible room options at Disney World, especially among the more affordable hotels.

Guests can choose from room and themed suite options, all designed to immerse you in a magical and artistic Disney experience.

Whether you're visiting as a family and want extra space or a couple looking for a budget-friendly stay, Disney’s Art of Animation resort has you covered.

Room and suites

Disney’s Art of Animation offers two main types of accommodations - standard rooms and family suites.

Standard rooms are themed around The Little Mermaid movie and characters, and sleep up to four guests. Each room has two double beds or one king-size bed, with prices ranging from $272 to $472 per night depending on the dates.

The family suites are more spacious and are themed either around Finding Nemo, The Lion King, or Pixar’s Cars.

Suites can sleep up to six guests comprising one queen bed, a double-size sleeper sofa, and a double-size ‘pull-down’ bed. Suites are priced between $459 and $900+ per night, depending on the season.

Families, bathroom and kitchen facilities

Needless to say, the family suites in particular are designed with little ones and family groups in mind. Nevertheless, all room types at Art of Animation can accommodate cribs and pack-and-play units upon request.

Guests with bigger kids in their group will certainly feel the benefit of the larger family suites too, not least because there are two bathrooms to make getting ready a breeze.

The bathrooms are equipped with complimentary toiletries, including soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

The Family Suites also feature a small kitchenette, which includes a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker - plus a dining table (which doubles as a ‘pull-down’ bed too) .

These suites are popular for families, especially those who prefer to prepare some of their own meals and snacks, to help accommodate some of the fussier eaters. Note, however, that standard rooms do not feature a kitchenette.

There are enough power outlets, but we’d always recommend guests travel with their own USB adapter block - there’s nothing as frustrating as a phone running low on charge during your trip.

Cleaning, laundry, check-in and check-out

There is no room service or mini-bar at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Guests can use the on-site laundry facilities, which are self-service.

Rooms can be cleaned on request, giving guests more flexibility and the option for more privacy during their stay.

Check-in time is 3:00pm, and check-out is 11:00am.

Early check-in and late check-out options are available may be available, but it is always advisable to enquire with the front desk ahead of time.

Thoughts …

Given the room choices, the immersive theming and, frankly, the affordable price compared to more deluxe Disney World resorts, it’s not hard to see why the Art of Animation Resort is one of Disney World’s most popular hotels among guests.
